Activities at Canyon River Ranch
The prime location and wide range of amenities at Canyon River Ranch offer something for the entire family. Sitting adjacent to the Yakima River on more than 2000 feet of private frontage, Canyon River Ranch is an outdoor oasis. A fly-fishing destination, other recreational activities include hiking and rafting; wine-tasting at the on-site vineyard; and golfing at award-winning courses.
Fly-Fishing
Experience guided fly-fishing trips on the Yakima, Klickitat, and Naches rivers and shop or browse in the souvenir and retail shop conveniently located next to the lodge, Red’s Fly Shop. As the largest fly-fishing outfitter in Washington, Red’s Fly Shop provides year-round services to people from all over the world.
Swimming
Relax in the outdoor heated pool and hot tub year round.
Hiking: Try the Vineyard hike, Umtanum Falls hike, or Big Horn Ridge hike, among others.
Golf
Ask the Canyon River Ranch staff to arrange tee times at Prospector Golf Course, Yakima Country Club, Apple Tree Golf Club, or Suncadia Resort.
Horseback-Riding
Take a guided horseback trip to enjoy pristine nearby mountain lakes.
Upland bird hunting: Hunt on 15,000 acres of private lease adjacent to the lodge property.
River-rafting: Float down the Yakima River canyon (19 miles of class 1 rapids).
