Activities at Canyon River Ranch


The prime location and wide range of amenities at Canyon River Ranch offer something for the entire family. Sitting adjacent to the Yakima River on more than 1,000 feet of private frontage, Canyon River Ranch is an outdoor oasis. A fly-fishing destination, other recreational activities include hiking and rafting; wine-tasting at the on-site vineyard; and golfing at award-winning courses.

Fly-Fishing
For fly fishing events, click link. Experience guided fly-fishing trips on the Yakima, Klickitat, and Naches rivers. Red’s Fly Shop, located on site, is the largest fly-fishing outfitter in Washington. Red’s provides year-round services to people from all over the world. Private boat launch and take out allows for easy access to the Yakima River.
Watersports
Relax in the outdoor heated pool and hot tub. For the more adventurous, try rafting or tubing down the Yakima River (19 miles of class 1 rapids).
Hiking
Try the Vineyard hike, Umtanu, Falls hike, or Big Horn Ridge hike, among others.
Upland Bird Hunting
Hunt on 15,000 acres of private lease adjacent to the lodge property.
Golf
Canyon River Ranch offers convenient access to some of the highest ranked golf courses in Washington. Ask the Ranch staff to arrange tee times at Prospector Golf Course, Yakima Country Club, Apple Tree Golf Club, or Suncadia Resort.
 
Wine-Tasting Events
Our location at the gateway to the Yakima wine country allows for extraordinary winemaker dinners and wine tasting events. See the calendar of events for more information.
Spa
Treat yourself to a massage, manicure, pedicure, facial and other spa service. Requests may require 24 hour advance notice. Sunday morning riverside yoga available on some weekends.
Culinary Classes
Join us for a class in the professionally equipped kitchen in the Canyon River Ranch Lodge.
Riverside Campfire and Picnic Areas
Roast marshmallows or bring a snack and sit by the river at these scenic locations.
Horseback-Riding
Take a guided horseback trip and enjoy pristine nearby mountain lakes.
Flora and Wildlife
Viewing opportunities abound with desert flora and wildlife including bighorn sheep, deer, bald eagles, and many species of birds.
