About Canyon River Ranch

Canyon River Ranch’s location in the Yakima River Canyon was chosen not only for its abundant activities, but for its breathtaking views and pristine, undisturbed natural beauty. With that in mind, it was of utmost importance that this project make every effort to practice responsible development and construction practices, utilizing green and recyclable materials wherever possible and minimizing disturbance to the surrounding environment and wildlife. A significant element of the landscape plan includes the reintroduction of native plants in areas near the river that had suffered from prior overuse.

Located between Yakima and Ellensburg, Washington, east of the Cascade range in the center of Washington state, the 15-mile Yakima River Canyon is one of the country’s most scenic and diverse natural areas. Canyon River Ranch is located 13 miles south of Ellensburg along SR 821, a designated Scenic Corridor. Less than a two-hour drive from Seattle, the area is known for not only its natural beauty, but for the range of activities it provides, from wine tasting to river rafting.
